New-town housing stock
If you own or manage former new-town housing in Basildon, Laindon or Pitsea, the recurring finds are ceiling and wall coatings, board panels behind and around heaters and meter cupboards, floor tiles under later coverings, and cement products externally. Where a landlord holds several similar properties, surveying them as a batch keeps costs down and produces a consistent register.
Void-property refurbishment before re-letting is the point at which asbestos is most often disturbed, so a refurbishment survey scoped to the planned works is the appropriate instruction, not a management survey.
