Our story
Elements Surveying Group was founded in 2008 by a small team of senior asbestos consultants frustrated with an industry dominated by removal-led service providers — where the company writing the survey often had a commercial interest in finding asbestos to remove.
We made a deliberate choice never to undertake removal works ourselves. That single decision shapes everything: our advice is structurally impartial, our risk assessments are unbiased, and our clients trust that our recommendations are driven only by what their estate needs.
Today we work with FTSE-listed landlords, NHS Trusts, multi-academy trusts, housing associations and central-government bodies across England and Wales, from Leeds southwards — but our approach hasn't changed. Every project is led by a senior consultant, every report withstands audit, and every client conversation is a long-term one.
Our mission
To make asbestos compliance defensible, proportionate and free of commercial conflict — so the people responsible for UK buildings can act with confidence.
Our values
We do not undertake asbestos removal. Our advice is structurally impartial — no upstream sales agenda, no conflict of interest.
Every survey is delivered to HSG264 methodology, with material and priority risk scoring documented to a standard that withstands audit.
We measure success in client retention, not single transactions. Many of our framework clients have worked with us for over a decade.
Every survey is carried out by experienced BOHS P402 qualified asbestos surveyors, in line with HSG264 and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Accreditations & memberships
Our consultants hold BOHS qualifications across the full P-series. Sample analysis is arranged through UKAS ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory partners. All surveying and sampling work follows current Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidance — including HSG264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide and the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 — underpinned by an ISO 9001 quality management system audited annually.
