Regulation 4 of CAR 2012 requires duty-holders for non-domestic premises to have a written plan setting out how they manage asbestos risks. A documented plan is the standard evidence of compliance.

Most single-organisation plans are drafted within 2 weeks of the discovery workshop, with a further 1–2 weeks for review and sign-off.
