When 'urgent' actually means urgent
We reserve urgent slots for genuine deadline-driven jobs: exchanges, exchanges being held up by a solicitor enquiry, contractors stopped mid-strip-out, an HSE enforcement notice, an insurer renewal date, or a tenant refusing to move in without evidence. How quickly can you attend site?+
For genuinely urgent jobs, typically the next working day. Same-day is possible if the property is inside the M25 and you call before mid-morning.
Do urgent jobs cost more?+
A modest urgent-turnaround uplift applies (typically 15–25%) and covers laboratory express fees and after-hours reporting. We quote the exact figure at the point of booking — no surprises.
Is the quality the same?+
Yes. Same surveyor, same methodology, same lab. What changes is the schedule, not the standard.
What if I'm outside London?+
Our surveyor rota covers every UK region. Urgent nationwide response is standard.
Can you do urgent commercial and industrial?+
Yes — commercial and industrial urgent surveys are routine. RAMS issued within the working hour of booking.
What counts as an emergency vs an urgent job?+
Emergency = damaged or disturbed asbestos, exposure risk, HSE notice. Urgent = deadline-driven but no active exposure. Both are covered by the rota; the SLA differs.
Do you work weekends?+
Emergency rota runs 08:00–20:00 seven days. Standard urgent slots book Monday–Saturday.
Can the report be with my solicitor by Friday?+
Yes if you book by Tuesday. Yes if you book by Thursday and can commit to Friday morning access. Talk to us.
Will you cut corners to hit the deadline?+
No — that's the whole point of dedicated urgent slots. If a job doesn't fit inside a compliant timeline we say so at the point of booking rather than promise and disappoint.
