How our asbestos testing service works
1. Scoping call. A qualified consultant confirms the location, number of suspect materials, access arrangements and any urgency. We issue a fixed quote within one working day, often within the hour. 2. Attendance. A P402-qualified surveyor attends in PPE with HEPA-filtered equipment, takes representative bulk samples in line with HSG 264, double-bags and labels each sample, and reinstates the disturbed area with a sealant patch. 3. Laboratory analysis. Samples are couriered for UKAS-accredited laboratory analysis (ISO/IEC 17025) using polarised light microscopy (PLM) and dispersion staining to confirm fibre type — chrysotile, amosite, crocidolite or none detected. 4. Reporting. You receive a signed certificate of analysis plus a plain-English summary explaining what the result means and what — if anything — you should do next.
