Barn, outbuilding and extension work
Converting or demolishing a rural outbuilding almost always means disturbing cement sheeting, and contractors will ask for a refurbishment and demolition survey before mobilising. The survey should be scoped to the structures actually being worked on — there is no reason to open up a whole house for a garage re-roof, and the quote should say so plainly.
Where a scheme runs in phases, we can survey the first phase and re-attend for later ones rather than pricing a single oversized instruction up front.
