Elements Surveying Group Ltd provides management, refurbishment and demolition surveys and targeted sampling in DA8 Erith. Our BOHS P402 qualified surveyors work to HSG264; our operational base is Colchester, Essex, not a separate office in each area. Erith includes post-war housing and riverside commercial or industrial premises.
Request a fixed quotationLocal property context: Erith includes post-war housing and riverside commercial or industrial premises. Building age and appearance alone do not confirm asbestos. A building survey recommendation is not a laboratory result. Send or upload the relevant asbestos extract, property address, material location and planned works. Elements can advise whether bulk sampling, a management survey, targeted refurbishment/R&D or another appropriate asbestos scope matches the recommendation. Obtain the owner's permission before sampling and distinguish private-flat from communal access. Your solicitor or lender decides whether the evidence answers their request; acceptance is not guaranteed.
Send your building survey recommendationYes. Professional bulk sampling costs £85 + VAT for the first sample and £30 + VAT for each additional sample collected during the same visit. For properties requiring significant travel, a fixed attendance price may apply. This will always be confirmed before booking. Bulk sampling is not an asbestos survey and does not include an asbestos survey report. It confirms the laboratory result only for the specific material sampled; it does not confirm whether asbestos is present elsewhere in the property.
Asbestos sampling and testingWe review the property address, building age, planned works and access requirements, then agree the survey type, scope and fixed quotation including VAT and any travel costs before booking. We confirm the date, attendance window and access arrangements once the booking is verified. Sending an enquiry does not itself confirm an appointment. Report and certificate release follows payment confirmation.
Discuss your property and accessIndependent asbestos surveying and testing — no asbestos removal sales
Elements Surveying Group specialises in asbestos surveying, sampling and independent advice. We do not sell asbestos removal services, so our survey recommendations remain focused on the condition, risk and appropriate management of the material identified.
Where removal or remedial work is genuinely required, we explain what that normally involves and what a licensed contractor would need — then leave you free to appoint whoever you choose.

A housing upgrade and a unit strip-out should not share one survey specification: identify occupancy, access and disturbance separately.
For shops, offices, workplaces and the communal areas of residential blocks around Erith, Northumberland Heath, Slade Green, a management survey supports the duty to manage asbestos while the premises stay in normal use. The agreed inspection records accessible materials, their condition and any areas that could not be inspected; it does not certify inaccessible fabric as asbestos-free.
BOHS P402-qualified surveyors work to HSG264. Where suspect materials require sampling, samples are analysed in a UKAS-accredited laboratory. The report and asbestos register distinguish confirmed results, presumed materials and access limitations. Re-inspections review the condition of materials already recorded in an existing register.
A housing upgrade and a unit strip-out should not share one survey specification: identify occupancy, access and disturbance separately.
Before work disturbs pre-2000 building fabric in Erith, agree the precise work area with the surveyor. A refurbishment and demolition survey is intrusive within that scope; a targeted R&D survey may suit one kitchen, bathroom, roof or affected service route. A routine management survey is not a substitute for inspecting fabric that contractors will open up. Demolition requires a scope appropriate to the full structure being removed.
If a buyer's survey or contractor has flagged a specific suspect material at your DA8 address, professional bulk sampling can establish the result for that sampled material. Sampling alone does not establish what is elsewhere in the property. Please share the relevant photographs or survey notes when requesting a quotation; do not disturb the material yourself.
Reports are typically issued within 48–72 hours of the survey visit, once laboratory analysis is complete. Elements is an independent consultancy, not an asbestos removal contractor. Fixed Prices. No Surprises: property size, scope, access, VAT and any applicable travel arrangements are agreed before booking. No generic district-wide starting price is assumed.

DA8 Erith FAQs
We take enquiries for DA8 addresses around Erith, Northumberland Heath, Slade Green. Locality names can extend beyond one postcode district. Send the full property address so the survey scope, access and attendance arrangements can be confirmed. A postcode may cross administrative boundaries; this page is not a claim of a local branch or unlimited travel coverage.
A housing upgrade and a unit strip-out should not share one survey specification: identify occupancy, access and disturbance separately. Tell us exactly which rooms, surfaces and service routes will be disturbed. We can then distinguish a targeted refurbishment survey from a wider refurbishment or demolition scope.
Request a fixed-price quotation for the actual property and scope. We confirm the service, access requirements, travel where applicable and VAT before booking; a postcode alone is not enough to quote accurately.
